Sustainable Farming for Kenyan Farmers

Smallholder farmers in Kenya face declining crop yields, soil degradation, and unpredictable rainfall, threatening food security and incomes. Over 88% of farmers in western Kenya report erratic rainfall, yet most lack access to drought-resistant seeds, sustainable farming techniques, and training. Without support, families remain vulnerable to hunger, poverty, and environmentally harmful practices, putting hundreds of households at risk.

Saidika will train 100 smallholder farmers in climate-smart techniques, provide drought-resistant seeds, organic fertilizers, and water-saving tools, and establish 5 cooperatives and 2 demonstration farms. These interventions will increase crop yields by 30%, improve food security for 500 people, boost incomes, and build resilient, sustainable farms that can withstand climate change.

By training farmers in climate-smart techniques and providing seeds, fertilizers, and water-saving tools, the project will create resilient farms, stronger cooperatives, and sustainable incomes. Improved yields will benefit 500 people, support nutrition, education, and economic stability, and reduce harmful farming practices, ensuring self-sufficient, climate-resilient communities for generations.
